Happy 4th of July!

July 4th is a national holiday in the United States that commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. It is also known as Independence Day and is celebrated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, and other patriotic festivities.

The day is a time for Americans to reflect on the country's history, values, and freedoms, and to honor the men and women who have served and continue to serve in the Armed Forces. There are several events and celebrations that take place across Washington state during the 4th of July. Some of the main events include:

1. Seafair Summer Fourth: This is an annual event that takes place in Seattle. It features a day-long celebration with live music, food, games, and a fireworks show over Lake Union.

2. Tacoma Freedom Fair: This is a large event that takes place in Tacoma. It features an air show, live music, food vendors, and a fireworks show over Commencement Bay.

3. Anacortes Fourth of July Parade: This is a small-town parade that takes place in Anacortes. It features floats, marching bands, and a variety of other patriotic displays.

4. Grand Coulee Dam 4th of July Celebration: This event takes place near Grand Coulee Dam. It features a laser show, fireworks, and live music.

5. Wenatchee Fourth of July Festival: This is a family-friendly event that takes place in Wenatchee. It features a parade, live music, food vendors, and a fireworks show.

Remember, if handling fireworks, please be careful and safe, away from areas that may cause fires. Also, check with your local jurisdiction to see if fireworks are allowed, most cities have bans. In Washington, you are able to go to tribal lands to have firework fun!
