How to Play Pickleball?

Washington State's official sport. Pickleball is a fun and easy-to-learn game that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.
Here are the basic rules and steps to get started:
1. Equipment: You will need a pickleball paddle, a lightweight ball with holes, and a net that is 36 inches tall at the center and 20 feet wide.
2. Court Setup: The court is similar to a badminton court, measuring 20x44 feet. It is divided into two halves by a net. The service area is a 10x15-foot rectangle on each side of the net.
3. Serving: The game begins with a serve from the right side of the court. The server must keep one foot behind the baseline and serve the ball diagonally to the opponent's service area. The ball must clear the net and land in the service area to be considered good.
4. Rally: After the serve, the game is played like tennis. Players must hit the ball back and forth over the net without letting it touch the ground or go out of bounds. The ball can be volleyed or hit after one bounce.
5. Scoring: Points are only awarded when the serving team wins a rally. The game is played up to 11 points, and the winning team must win by two points.
6. Doubles: Pickleball is often played in doubles, with two players on each side of the net. The serving team will alternate serving between the two players until a point is lost.
7. Rules: There are several rules in pickleball, including no volleying the ball in the non-volley zone, no touching the net, and no stepping into the non-volley zone unless the ball has bounced.
Pickleball is a fun and social game that can be enjoyed by players of all ages and skill levels. So grab a paddle and join in on the fun!
